Has anyone taken this course and can shed some light on it? ... Course description makes it seem like a bird, but dont want to be mis lead.

At this point, it's safe to say no one on macinsiders has taken the course.

Checking the course description, the course does indeed seem quite easy with respect to other 2nd year Math courses. It shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I did know several math students who went on to do Financial Math (and thus had to take this course) and never heard any complaints about its difficulty...so I'm willing to say it's a safe bet.

I've no experience with Dr. Pirvu, unfortunately...so I can't give any info on the prof.
