Math 2Z03
I am going into second year software eng. I am going to be taking math 2Z03. I looked at the prerequisites for the course and it only mentioned Math 1ZC3 (lin algebra). It didn't mention the first year calc courses as prerequisites. Just curious why it is so. Is the course just a continuation of 1ZC3? I was actually planing to brush up on some calc before school, but this has me confused. Not sure if I will be doing any calc in that class. Any upper years?

The prerequisite doesn't really matters. You have to have 1ZA/B/C to take the course anyways. 2Z03 is mostly ODE/PDE and Laplace Transformation.

just finished the class.
All you need to brush up on is basic differentiation and integration techniques as well as basic matrix operations from 1zc3 (like multiplying matrices, finding eigenvalues/vectors, etc..). You don't use any hardcore calc stuff like series and surface revolution. and to the guy above no PDE's in the course.
