I understand your argument, but remember you might be in need of a bell curve as well when university work kicks..from what I have heard engineering is no joke, you might be criticizing it now but when you start taking difficult courses you'll see; everyone who makes it to second year engineering most be some what intelligent - at least , thus, this course was probably quite challenging for the prof to bell curve!

Remember your still a prospective student with no feel of what university life is like. So i dont think its logical to just bash the system like that.

I guess you could call it that, but not exactly. Class averages are usually expected to be within the 60-70 range. So for e.g. if the class average deviates from that, it just indicates that something is wrong. Yeah sure the prof might "bell curve" to keep their job and whatnot, but it also benefits the students. And it's not like every class is like that, it's only used in some instances.

I wasn't bashing the system, you misinterpreted my posts.

Ah I see, fair enough. I know my theory math class will get bell curved as it does each year.

Haha, math courses especially are some of the ones that get bell-curved, so you never know!
