Math Courses
Hi all,

I'm entering first year Commerce, and I have a quick question about math courses. I have to take Math 1M03, and I noticed that that there are 3 lectures each week. Does it include tutorials? OR is it 3 lectures and a tutorial.

Also, I was looking at the course outline for Math 1M03. The course is broken down into 2-3 midterms and a final exam. If that's the case, what do you do in tutorials?

Thanks!

Hey Jake,

You will have 3 lectures AND an optional tutorial. In tutorials, you will have a grad student go over problems and their solutions given to him/her by the professor. It basically helps if you were having trouble grasping the material that you learned that week.

Thanks a lot Greg! If you don't mind me asking, how did you find Math 1M03?

It wasn't that bad. If you consider yourself above-average when it comes to math, you will do fine in the course. Just make sure to do ALL the practice problems assigned, and you will be able to do all the problems on the tests.
