Actually, the only reason I used backward smileys is because I use MSN a lot and can't stand their emoticons. I quickly learned to type (: instead of getting some awfully tacky smiley face, and it's stuck ever since.

Fff, I definitely needed math help in first-year. :(
I find that the backwards winky doesn't really work imo, it looks more like "there's something in my left eye"-face. I agree that some of the emoticons are kind of lame though, especially after the update to Messenger '11.

The phrase "have a 12 in" doesn't really mean much when the only marks you've gotten back are maybe two tests, the first of which was essentially a review of grade 12 Calc.
