I've played a lot of sports competitively, but never ultimate frisbee. Would I still be able to try out? Can I learn the rules when I get there?

Hey im looking to tryout for the ultimate team! unfortunately the facebook group does not work when i open the link. I was wondering if anyone could help me out by letting me know the dates of the tryout for the team or let me know if i am already to late! Any help you be appreciated. Thanks!
