To those of you who are interested in becoming an executive this term, we are currently looking for the following:
VP Communications
Responsibilities
* Taking responsibility for the overall design of the website
* Maintaining, updating (software), creating and revising the content (text and images) of the website
* Assessment of the areas of the website which are in need of maintenance as well as identifying new functionality which may be needed in order to facilitate the needs of the club.
* The implementation of new functionality and changes
* Ensuring that the website maintains a consistent look and feel.
* Maintain the club’s Facebook account in order to ensure that it is up to date (i.e. all upcoming events, announcements and tutoring session times are posted)
A good candidate for this position would be someone who:
* Has previous experience maintaining an organization’s social media presence
* Has technical experience maintaining websites, and also with website back-ends (i.e. would also qualify to be a webmaster)
* Has previous experience with Photoshop/Illustrator (asset, but not required)
* Has previous experience with Wiki markup and WordPress (asset, but not required)
