Hi Rob Mac,
surprisingly ( or not) Android didn't have a native way to do zooming of pics, so that's why i had to create the grid. once you click on a pic, it should open another screen with the pic where you can zoom by pinching and double tapping. If this doesn't work , you can submit a problem report or msg back here with your phone and Android version.

Just a bump for anyone looking for classes over the next few weeks. I'm not gonna lie , mad I don't have an Android myself. Didn't look at my schedule until I got to campus. Completely forgot how to navigate the Quad

Androids native way for pinch+zoom into pictures is to use the following:
1) Create image from file (already done)
2) Encode Image into HTML
String myHTML = "\"Image"
3) Use a webview: http://developer.android.com /refer...t/WebView.html
WebView wv = new Webview(this);
wv.loadData(myHTML, "text/html", null);

4) make sure to scale the webview to 98% or it will appear zoomed in. Webview has full gesture support including pinchtozoom, doubletap, hold-press, swipes, etc etc

The html is flexible and you can splice as many images as you need together
