I understand that some of McMaster's network is local and some is located in Waterloo. So, even if the file you're after is in Hamilton, it's possible that the authentication part is outside. There's been power failures in different places in the area. Likely one of them affected something, and it might even be into the week before the right person shows up to work to fix things. Fortunately, we're into holiday season, and very little is actually critical, other than satisfying one's curiosity about grades.
