I find that the blood of my roommate works well. But I heard windex is great too.

Lol yeah, methanol definitely isn't something you can just go out and buy. Ethanol, however, is readily available

Acetone melts plastic...it would definitely get the marker off, but i'd try a small corner of it first to make sure that it doesn't also react badly with whatever is on the calendar.

Funny you made this post - I just took everything off my Titles calendar last night too! I used dry erase as well :(
You shouldn't use dry erase markers with those calendars. Use markers that come off with water. Like others have said, use rubbing alcohol (like $3 at Shopper's, or check your parents medicine cabinet) to get off the dry erase marker. It takes a little bit of scrubbing, but it comes off.

ye i kno... but ppl are complainin about rubbin alcohol being hard to find... and they probly have hand sanitizer laying around somewhere
