when I took it in Winter 2011, it was taught by Dr. Farquharson. The format of the exam was short answer questions. The questions were not tricky and tested your understanding of various processes such as how x-rays, MRI etc work. If you understand everything that he teaches you in class (which is not difficult), you can easily get a 12 in the course. No previous knowledge of physics required (when I say this, it means that you will not be solving complex physics problems but you should be familiar with derivatives and integrals because he shows you some equations). The most math you will ever do in that class is calculate wavelength or half life etc...
