midterm overload??
I was talking to my cousin and apparently there's a rule about not being able to have three midterms within 24 hours? can someone confirm this or tell me where to go to confirm this?
I have one midterm wednesday afternoon, then another on wednesday night, then another at 830 am on thursday.
thanks.

I doubt it...I know one person who had four within two days, and it was the same prof for two of the classes so she talked to the prof and got the value of one of them deferred to her exam, but I think that was just the prof being nice--I don't think there is any rule that says he/she HAD to do that.
There's definitely not a rule about 4 midterms within a week, when you can have 5 exams in a week and no one cares, unless 3 are within 24hrs. And even with that 24-hr rule, it's not like, between 7pm-7pm or something. They mean if you have an exam at 9am, 2pm and 7pm of the same day--they consider it a 'conflict'. I remember there was a petition going around in one of my classes last year for a group of people who had 3 exams within 24hrs but it didn't fall under the 'conflict' rule.

I know that rule is for midterms, where you can't have 3 exams in a 24 time period. But I would contact your profs and see what can be done about it, because I'm not sure if the rule exists for midterms :S

I've heard of multiple people having the 4 same midterms on the same day and none of them were deferred despite discussions with the profs. I'm pretty sure there's no rule about midterms. You can talk to your prof and try to reschedule one or some, but there's no guarantee that they can make accomodations. People just have to manage their time wisely and study courses together.

Yeah, welcome to university. Deal with it. Think of it this way, you get them all out of the way. It's a long weekend as well, so that should alleviate it a little.
