Are Midterms our final chance?
Are our midterm marks our last chance to get into mac? Cause I know that Waterloo does some random thing in May were they check your marks again... will mac even give out any acceptances once they see your final marks? Or is this only for midterms?

Late admissions can happen. Not sure how they go about checking marks so you might have to make the submission yourself (transcript or somesuch). I would ask an employee at McMaster to know for sure.

It may depend because if you are already on the wait list then you may have chance once your final marks go through.

TC, what do you mean Waterloo looks at your grades even after midterms? I don't know how they would do that, but it would suck for me since I can only go down now >_>

I don't think they really look at your grades after you've been accepted. Everybody kind of relaxes and let's their grades slip a little after acceptance. As long as it's not a major drop, and only a percentage or two, you should be okay. It depends on what your overall average was though, I guess. I mean, my final average was 87% and that was after I let it drop so I'm not sure. It also depends on what univeristy and program; some are really ompetitive and you don't want to lose your spot because of a silly thing. Don't take my word for it, though, I don't want you to ruin your grades and then have your offer be rescinded. I guess the best thing to do is keep your marks up! I mean, you're already in with that percentage so just keep it up.

An acceptance is always on a condition. You will have been told specifically what those conditions are somewhere. A University cannot say "You're accepted unless we change our minds"... It must be "You're accepted, unless you do/don't manage this"

Yes, late admissions do happen.
My personal experience was applying to the McMaster Life Science (I) program in April of 2011, and I did get a response from Mac accepting me into the program.

The best thing that you can do to get the most clear and helpful guidance is to contact the faculty you wish to apply to directly; there are academic councilors and personnel who can help you.

Hope this helps.
