I had mixed up the dates that the music 1A03 test was going to be on due to the teacher being gone for 2 weeks... I have missed today's 20% test. Is there anything I can do?

I'm not a music 1A03 student, but I know someone who had it today.

yeah... i found out i missed today's test worth 20% .... guess I just have to keep my average above 63% ---- equates to a pass when only 80% of mark is left.

i suggest you try contacting the dean of your faculty, they may exempt it.

well, I'm an engineering student..so do you mean contacting the dean of engineering, or the dean of humanities? also, do you think it's a good idea to bring it to the attention of my prof? thanks.

the thing is though, i was clearly mistaken. she DID come back today and DID have the test today, I must have mixed up my dates somehow. Her being gone for 2 weeks really threw me off.

yep go to the dean of engineering, and explain your situation, they may offer you an exemption. Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose.

these are the only links i found for anything related to the dean:
http://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/about/peopledean.html
so i'm assuming JHE 261 is the dean's office... wouldn't I need an appointment or something?
The associate dean's office seems more geared to students, am I correct?
http://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/about/peopleassocdean.html

there's also contact numbers and extensions for the dean himself. I can't seem to find EXACTLY where he (David S. Wilkinson) is located. Perhaps I should just go to the associate dean's office, explain my situation to the secretary and go from there?
