So at the beginning of the year I took the chair that was in the rez room home and replaced it with my own, more comfortable, office chair. Unfortunately Ive now realized that I probably cant get the original chair back here until after the move-out date.

Does anyone know what the university's policy on missing items from the rez room is? Will they charge me immediately for the missing chair, or would I be able to return a bit later (like a week after the move-out date) and they would be cool with that.

You'll get charged at first. However, you can appeal it later. Keep in mind that the residence closes on a specific date so you might be refused entry.
