Mol Bio. to Biology
So I was wondering, if say you went into Mol Bio. second year and took a course such as Biochem 2BO3 which you cant take in Honours Bio, but you switched programs after 2nd year into Bio, what would happen to that credit? Would is simply count as an elective? Also how difficult is it to switch from a specialization to a core program?

- Thanks, Phil

I'm not sure about what happens to the credit after, but it's always easier to transfer from a specialized program to a less specialized one.

It won't count as an elective. Honours Biology students can take any Biochem course (as long as you have the prereq) and it counts towards the 18 unit biology course list requirement. See the link below for more information. Hope this helps!

Biochem 2B03 is only open to people in certain programs, so an Honours Biology student wouldn't meet that requirement, since that isn't one of the programs the course is open to. It is, however, open to mol bio students. In this case, the actual bio requirements are irrelevant, since the problem is with the biochem course's prereqs. However, if you were to switch from mol bio to bio, my guess is the course would still count under that list.
