I don't think many students are aware of this service, so I'd like to take the time to sort of give you all some info.
The MoMac writing clinic is a free service offered to
Mohawk-McMaster students, located in the MoMac library.
We can help with papers/assignments in terms of understanding the instructions if you're having issues, grammar, thesis development, APA style citing, etc..
Or you can even just come in and talk for a bit if you'd like to improve your speaking skills.
We offer face-to-face meetings as well as online appointments.
*Keep in mind that you cannot just drop off a paper for us to edit and leave, you need to be there with your tutor to work through issues you have. We cannot completely just take a paper and edit it, either, we sort of hint at/point you in the right direction and explain what you are doing wrong.
Feel free to make an appointment with either myself, Cristina, Cooper, Samantha or Yasmeen. Our hours are posted on the calendar once you log in.

If you are a first time user, you'll have to make an account (just put in your name, and other basic info). To make an appointment, you'll need to first choose which campus you prefer (number 5, MoMac IAHS Fall 2012). Then you click a white box under whichever day and time works best for you, and choose whether you prefer online or face-to-face, and briefly explain what you'd like to work on.
There is a similar service offered to
McMaster students, and information for that can be found here:

Hope to see some of you there,
Monica
