Movie being filmed on campus right now!!
So my girlfriend and I like to go for evening walks around campus during the summer. Tonight we walked over to Ron Joyce Stadium at about 10pm to find that the field and stadium were filled with "McMaster Eagles" and "McMaster High School Homecoming" posters, merchandise, banners, flags, everything (like way more than you'd see at McMaster's homecoming games!). At first I though it was some real event but then I saw cameras and movie trailers everywhere. There were countless US Army trucks and solders there as well. I would have snapped a picture but didn't bring my phone with me.
Anyone have any idea what movie this is? Everyone working there was running around doing something so I didn't want to bother them. I'm assuming the filming is going on overnight and maybe over the weekend too. Gonna head back tomorrow to see if I can find out more, but it looked like a pretty big deal. Thoughts?!

lol, the McMaster Eagles eh. If there were US Army Trucks then it's obviously some sort of US movie to do with marines, maybe coming home to make it in time for their child's highschool homecoming? I dunno about you, but having Ron Joyce Stadium as your highschool... that would be impressive LOL

US high schools get way into that stuff! It was a pretty crazy scene though. And I was amazed at how they literally covered up every inch of anything Marauders and covered it with "McMaster Eagles" stuff. And after walking through the stadium to see all this stuff, a line of 6 US army trucks reved up and drove down past Les Prince towards a group of "US marines". Pretty rattled about it all though.

According to Mission2Mac on Twitter, it's for the movie "How to Build a Better Boy", a Disney movie.
Quote:
PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE
"HOW TO BUILD A BETTER BOY," STARRING CHINA ANNE MCCLAIN
AND KELLI BERGLUND
Disney Channel taps into a three-dimensional "geek chic" comedy adventure with "How to Build a Better Boy," a present day take on a futuristic story starring Disney Channel star China Anne McClain ("A.N.T. Farm") and Disney XD star Kelli Berglund ("Lab Rats"). Set in Washington, DC, the storyline follows high school sophomores Mae Hartley (Berglund) and Gabby Harrison (McClain), two tech-savvy best friends who devise a plan to create the perfect boyfriend with just a few strokes of the keyboard and a wireless connection. What Gabby and Mae don't realize is that the computer they use is set up to generate a robotic super soldier, which they have inadvertently activated in the form of Albert, a macho yet sensitive super cute boy.
Production has begun in Toronto, Canada for a premiere in 2014. The movie is directed by three-time DGA Award winner Paul Hoen ("Let It Shine," "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam"), executive produced by Robin Schorr ("Food, Inc.," "The Pretty One") and Adam Kossack, co-executive produced by Dan Seligmann and written by Jason Mayland ("Space Chimps").

Not the kind of movie I had in mind when I saw truckloads of US Army marines.
