Msaf Help!
I had a midterm on the 12th which I wanted to MSAF. However, I forgot to use the online MSAF form 5 days within, and now its not letting me choose the date of February 12th. I sent my teacher an MSAF for the 13th. I missed the midterm on the 12th because of a busted knee, and also have a doctors slip. Im really scared, what should I do? The midterm was 15%. THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE!

Just go submit the doctor's note to your Associate Dean's office. They will better advice you if you need to take more action or not. You might have to wait till Tuesday though since Monday is Family Day.

The note is for January 28th, but my knee still really hurts because I tore my ACL. Would this still be valid? And I won't have a way to get to Hamilton until after reading week is done.

No I didn't. But if I show the doctors note saying "Torn ACL" with the doctors name and address and everything from the 28th of january, would they accept it?

You could give it a try, but I doubt they'll accept a doctor's note from two weeks earlier.
You could however go to your doctor and get another note saying you weren't able to write the midterm due to pain?

Yeah i'm going to be doing physiotherapy this week, maybe I could show them proof of that? I really was in pain that morning, and couldn't move my knee. Torn ACL requires a surgery and 9 month recovery time, so i'm pretty sure they will consider that, no?

There are always special circumstances. Provide them with proof, and see what happens. No harm in trying.

^ I agree. After all, it is a legitimate situation. I also sent in an MSAF for February 13th to my prof, and told her that I tore my ACL in an email following the MSAF. Also, i'll be showing them physio documentation.

Well good. I hope it works out in your favour. As long as you show strong support evidence for your case, you should be fine.

I'm confused...earlier someone asked if you emailed your prof and you said you didn't, but now you're saying you did.
There's really no reason why you couldn't email your prof or fill out the MSAF within the five days, so they might give you a hard time with that, but I think they'll let it slide.

wait...so is your problem that you sent the MSAF for the 13th instead of the 12th? If yes, you can simply email your prof about that? I'm confused as to what you mean by not being able to MSAF, but you still sent an MSAF ont he 13th? :s

I had a midterm worth 15% on the 12th of february that I missed. To fill out the MSAF online, it has to be done 5 days within the missed midterm. The last day to MSAF the midterm was the 16th. However, I forgot to MSAF it on the 16th. When I tried MSAF'ing on the 17th, the earliest date it would let me select to MSAF is the 13th, and not the 12th (the day I actually missed my midterm). However, I still selected 13th for the day missed on the MSAF and emailed my prof after submitting an MSAF for the 13th. The only problem is, if she doesn't accept the MSAF because its for the 13th and not the 12th, would I still be able to work my way around with the associate deans office and show them a doctors note from the 28th of january that says "Torn ACL"? Because till this day, my leg really hurts, but on the day of my midterm it was hurting a lot. Torn ACL is a long term injury, so would the note still be valid? That is my question.
