Nominations still being accepted to run for the 2013/2014 Students Representative Assembly.
The Student Representative Assembly (SRA), the governing body of the MSU, is composed of 35 undergraduate students elected by their peers, inside each academic faculty. Together, they work to provide the best possible MSU services and departments, address undergraduate students’ concerns, and lobby the University to improve McMaster’s academic quality. The MSU exists to represent you and to help build a better community for all students.
For many, the SRA is a first step into undergraduate politics, with many going on to become more heavily involved in societies, committees or student services, to help better the undergraduate student experience. For others, it is a chance to make a direct impact on the issues that they feel are important to campus.
Each Faculty has a set number of seats available. For the 2013/2014 year, the seats are as follows:
Arts & Science: 1 seat
Business: 3 seats
Engineering: 6 seats
Health Sciences: 2 seats
Humanities: 4 seats
Kinesiology: 2 seats
Nursing: 1 seat
Science: 7 seats
Social Science: 5 seats
Nominations run until March 4th at 5 pm. There will be a mandatory meeting for all candidates running at 6 pm later that day. Nomination forms can be found at
