Don't forget tuition, which will cost around $8000/year and textbooks, which can get up to $1000/year.

OSAP will definitely help. I know a lot of people in financial need who get by just fine.

The used textbooks certainly are cheaper, but I bought a used textbook for $129 instead of the new textbook that was $149. SO the money will still pile up reallllll fast.

I'm in Eng this year. Cost me 15,000 (Res, Tuition, Meal Plan), minus 2000 for entrance scholarship. So 13,000. Add back 1000 for books and software, plus like 500 for begging and school supplies. Plus laptop.

So total: about 15,500.

Yikes.

Engineering is one of the most -- if not, THE most expensive program to be in, so $15, 000 sounds about right, if you're doing rez and all that.

OSAP will definitely help, but the amount they give you depends on your financial situation.
I know people in Eng who get by just fine with OSAP

From what i learned, the max osap will give you is 13 thousand. (Which, as mentioned, requires you to also be in financial need to recieve that much)
