MUSIC 2F03 - how study? what study?
Any help with how/what to study for this course? Simon Woods this term.
Previous lecturer (googled the course) had things like names and dates. Sorta worried about memorizing stuff.

I've had Simon Wood before for pop music and he really likes dates, so be sure to know all of the dates. I've also taken this course before with a different prof and you definitely had to memorize the dates of when the movies came out, the composer of the scores and sometimes the director. The previous prof would also include plot questions of the films we watched just to make sure that you actually watched the movie. The plot questions were really random and you would have not known the answer if you just read some kind of wikipedia summary. Since it's the first midterm, I remember there being questions like "who invented the gramophone" and random questions like that. Also there were a lot of term definitions like "what does an executive producer do?".
I'd just suggest to memorize EVERYTHING he talked about no matter how insignificant it seems lol
Hope that helped and good luck!
