Music Cognition Specialization
Hello! Do any life sci students who specialized in music cog have advice about how to prepare for the SOTA theory exam? Is it as comprehensive as the list they've posted online? Also, can this test be retaken if needed? Thanks!

I'm no life sci student (I'm just a music student) but I did have to do a theory exam because I didn't have my advanced rudiments at the time. It was quite easy to be honest, I wouldn't worry too much.
Just make sure you have a really good understanding of chords, keys, intervals, cadences, scales, knowing how to write a score, some italian, german, and french musical terms, ummm I think transposing was important. It's been 2 years since I wrote that exam though so it could be a lot different lol
