Depending on what you play (and how well you play) you can join one of the performance ensembles at Mac. It's a great option because it gives you course credit and a break from time consuming classes (especially if you're in science!). If you're not registered in music then you'll need to audition and you should get in touch with Dr. Kinder about when and where those will be taking place.
When registering for courses, you still sign up for 30 credits worth (not including music) and once you've been approved into the ensemble you replace 3 credits with the Music 1G03 course.
The only downfall to this program is that it goes full year but you only get half a year credit for it, but honestly, everyone is so nice and the concerts and rehearsals are quite enjoyable.
Good Luck!
