Welcome!! Great to see you here and awesome for you to join the site!!

Not knowing anyone at Mac can be a bit scary, but also an exciting opportunity to meet new people and have new, great experiences!!! You're already among friends on MacInsiders and we'll be holding some social events throughout the year for you to meet others that are members of MacInsiders.

MacConnector is the easiest way to meet new people. When I came to McMaster there were only a handful of people coming from my high school that I was friends with and they went into Sciences, Engineering, and other faculties.. but not mine (Humanities) so I barely saw them since they were in different buildings!

Through MacConnector (which is an event we'll tell you more about closer to September that happens during welcome week) I met a lot of new people, and then continued meeting others through the MSU, clubs, and the many other ways to get involved.

Check out our multi-part series on getting involved with campus life at Mac, and don't be nervous because there's so many ways to meet people and you'll easily make many friends at McMaster!!!

Also be sure to read the great stories and articles posted in our Advice and tips section "First Year Success" which has stories of student's experiences during their first year at McMaster, first week at Mac, starting new programs, etc! You'll be able to learn a lot of tips!

Hm, I, uh, don't think there is one. At the very least I don't recall seeing it. D:

There is a list of clubs over here:

During welcome week there's also clubsfest (should be on a Wednesday).

Either it's new or I just don't remember seeing it the last 2 years
(granted I'm lazy as hell so even if I did it might have just slipped my mind)
