Adelle, how many pets do you have...
From what I know, you're basically running a farm
You know what's funny? I forget the answer to that all the time because the number is relatively large. There's a sphinx cat back home (which could also count as a snake or some sort of seal), a real cat, a dog, a cockatoo that I may bring to my student house next year because he's the man... I don't remember what else off the top of my head because those are the only ones that let me pet them.
In my student house, it's just the ferret and a lizard right now. I had a hedgehog, but the lizard's many attempts to eat him forced me to give the hedgehog to a friend. You may have thought I had birds because of my recent unsuccessful rescue mission after birds hit my door.

that's insane. I love animals though, so it's not like I would mind. If you and I hung out IRL, I'd find excuses to go over to your house and play with your animals.
My cat's "full" name is Jingles B. Herman the 69th of Australian heritage. My little brother decided this.
I named her Jingles, after that rat from The Green Mile.

Nah, he's white. We let him wander around the house because he doesn't like to be caged. When someone comes to the front door and he's not close to it (like when he's downstairs, since he can't quickly get back upstairs), he makes a lot of noise unless you take him with you to see who it is. If you've ever heard a cockatoo, you understand why having that sound in the background while you're speaking to someone is unacceptable:
He's kind of a pain in the ass, sometimes. When we go on vacation we have to find family friends or relatives with absolutely nothing to do, because cockatoos get really stressed when their owners are away and have a tendency to pick out their own feathers due to depression. Our neighbour took him once for two weeks and was so freaked out by him walking around all the time and staring at her that she ended up calling us in Florida and asking us if a family member could take care of him for the second week.
He's pretty old now, but he's still cool.
EDIT: In fairness, his staring is relatively creepy. He's not shy at all, and will follow you around if he's bored. The sphinx cat likes to sleep on a chair in my room, and since the bird was afraid of it for a while, he'd stop following me when I entered my room and would stand in my doorway and stare at me until I decided to leave.
