In need for Clarification!
Hello there!

I've been traveling this summer and my access to the internet is pretty limited. I've just started registering for my courses and I'm half way through but now when I go on SOLAR the option entitled as "UNDERGRAD REGISTRATION/COURSE SELECTION for the SEP 2011 SESSION" is unavailable. Can someone clarify that for me?

I need to complete my registration but the program is not letting me.

Also, in terms of course selection, I want to pursue religious studies while keeping my life sciences degree. I don't know if that's possible and what kind of courses should I take. I'm pretty confused about that as well. Also, some of the required life sci courses are full, what should I do?

I would honestly appreciate some help.

It should be open, contact the registrar in a couple hours. registrar.mcmaster.ca

In terms of course selection, if you want to minor in religious studies, check this out http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1740.html

You can complete your minor with the "electives" credits that you have to take in your 4 years.

If you want to do a double major then I won't be able to help you with that 'cause I'm doing a major and minor as well so that's what I'm aware of but check the calender.

And as for the courses that are full, unfortunately, that's tough luck 'cause the SOLAR has been opened for a while and core courses go fast especially first year ones, nevertheless, keep checking SOLAR to see if it comes available and keep checking the "official course trading thread" on here to see if people are dropping it. Otherwise you could try taking mainly your religious studies courses this year and register on time for life science courses in the summer or next fall

Hope that was a bit of help!

You can minor in Religious Studies - all you need is 24 units of Religious Studies courses, with no more than 6 units from Level I. Depending on what program you end up in after 1st year, you might need/want to take a summer course to fit everything in, but it's definitely possible.

For the required Life Science courses, contact a science academic advisor. science.mcmaster.ca

Contact the Registrar's office since you missed your 7-day period. Also, I would recommend talking/emailing an academic advisor about your questions.

If possible, I would get this done ASAP.
So if possible, instead of emailing them, I would physically go to the registrar's office to get this sorted out. If thats not possible, then call them. And if that's not possible, then email.
