Need help/advice on changing my program
I was admitted to McMaster this September and accepted my offer of admission. Now that I am thinking more and more about it, I am interested in another program offered at McMaster. How would I go about changing my program, if I don't want to wait another year to reapply?

Is there any way that I can start when second term normally starts (spring/summer term)?

The program I want to apply for now is the Nursing program and I have been admitted into and accepted my offer for Engineering

Email academic advisers. They'll give you the most accurate advice.

Also, you might wanna read some of the info here: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...13/pg1258.html

I know someone who switched from science to soc sci during welcome week. It is possible, provided you meet the requirements and there is room in the program. Nursing is highly competitive to get into, so I'm not sure what your chances are. If you can't get in though, there's also an accelerated nursing program.

Thanks! It's just that the registration for this program is on the same day as Engineering (next Thursday). I am really hoping I can talk to someone who will consider allowing me to register for this one instead. I have all of the prerequisites and my average is a 90 which I hope is good enough to put me on the waiting list or something.

Then you should contact an academic adviser or someone from the Nursing department. Contact info should be on their website.

It's best to call in the morning so that you get an answer right away instead of waiting for an email!
