				Need Parents for OSAP Release?

Hey guys, planning on going Wednesday to pick up my OSAP. Someone told me my parents need to be there, but I was planning on going alone. My cousin told me that i don't need to take my parents because I'm 18. Can someone comment on or confirm this? Thanks

You don't need your parents at all, even if you're not 18. What would be the purpose of them being there? Loll

You don't need them at all, even if you weren't 18. For example, I was 17 when I started university and I went alone.

Just make sure you have the 3 IDs and the void cheque/banking info that it states in the e-mail.

Parents are definitively not needed. You sign everything yourself.

One of the IDs has to be your SIN.

A void cheque is a cheque where you write VOID across it. But you don't actually have to void the cheque, they just need the numbers at the bottom of the cheque. You can also just go to your bank and ask for your account's direct deposit information.
