New Facebook Profiles On The Way
CHAD FULLERTON, MACINSIDERS
Tired of seeing cluttered Facebook profiles? Sick of having to spend 2 minutes just scrolling down someone's page to finally get to their Wall at the bottom?
Well, Facebook is looking at ways to improve their service and make profiles more clutter-free. The solution: tabs. A new tabbing system will soon be implemented allowing you to quickly access the person's Wall, a page with all the important information and bio about that person, and then another page for all those clunky apps.
The new "About" tab features personal information in a structured way, which makes it easier to find this info on your friends' profiles. The left column also keeps basic info (including contact info, which is not shown) in an easy to see, easy to find, consistent place on the profile.
The new Wall tab displays recent Wall posts as well as recent photos, posted items, updated status messages, and other new content. This makes your friends' Walls more relevant and more integrated into their profiles.
While these features are still in beta stages, look for them soon to appear in your profile!
