The new website looks weird why is there so much empty space at the top? Id also like to know where that photo is from with the students on the wooden bridge I havent seen a bridge like that anywhere on campus..Has anyone else?

Considering the resources available to Mac Admin, the website is poorly designed. The McMaster website has needed updating for a long time, as well as the internal "programs" such as Mugsi, etc.

Honestly? it looks very cold and plain.

What's mostly annoying is how unbalanced it seems like with the huge photo and dark maroon bar all seems chunky with emptyness around it

I agree with it seeming a bit "unbalanced" and it needs more colour or something a bit more jazzy. Look at all the other university websites, they seem more welcoming and fun

How come the other pages dont follow the same design? They are still the old look

After reading the daily news article it seems only a few parts of mcmaster are doing changes? Why change the homepage if the rest of the website doesn't match

It's hard to say if it's good or bad because on one hand, it's better than the old website in many ways and is clean/easy to read. But on the other hand, it isn't great and so I think they can still make it better. I think it still needs some work so im going to vote bad but if they add a bit more spacing around the photo image and just fill it in a bit more I think it can be a winner. ps. Cool slideshow.

I'm undecided because as marauder said, it is an improvement but it needs work

I think compared to the one before its nicer, but if you compare it to some other Universities or even Colleges (Mohawk) the new one doesn't quite add up to them. Also, why is there less topics in the 'Quick Links' scroll down options than before? Like, on the Daily News page, it still has all thoses really useful scroll downs! I think these, especially bookstore and housing, should be added back to the Quick Links!!!!

I like the new page - I think the rest of the website needs to folow soon so we can see what to change.

One thing that would be great would be al ink to the Registrar's page from the main page.
