Hi everyone!

This is an important message! MacInsiders will be changing our club name to "MacInsiders" as we begin to shift towards our new direction of focusing on writing exclusive news and reviews for you, our members. Our content will now be expanding from not only McMaster news, clubs, and events..but will now include news and reviews on entertainment culture (movies and music) and student artists (ex: student bands). Keep in mind, we will be continuing our mission of providing information on ways to get involved and will further develop our great community of users (you!). Some areas/features of the site will be leaving us (Groups and the Marketplace), but the new upcoming features will be even better than those!

Why the name change?
We decided to change our name for three reasons, the first being that 'undrgrads' was a name decided on before the club began (since this site was launched before the club started) and the exec want the name changed. Second, because we hate to keep reminding people how to spell our name! Third, because 'undrgrads' did not represent who we were or what we did, the name was ambiguous. Our new name we hope will draw attention, but will also give a general idea of our vision without us having to say much!

MacInsiders will become your one stop location for fresh information gathered and written by our staff, as well as news, forum discussions, and reviews that come from you, our members! We will be shining the spotlight on the various sides of McMaster that you should know about... but usually don't hear about! Think of it like your backstage pass to your McMaster experience!

Our website will be going offline after 9PM EST on February 9th (tomorrow) as we make the transition to our new domain: http://www.macinsiders.com

Congratulations Chad on the new name! I was quite confused when I first tried to access site. I forgot it was without an "e"! Can't wait to see the next event and take photos of it. It kind of erases the memory of what happened during "Night in the UK". I say again, best of luck to you guys in the days ahead!

Macinsiders.com has greater marketing value than ever before. Not only will undergraduates have the benefit for searching for news and events around campus, but the alumni and friends all over will benefit as well!

Yes, we hope to open it up to the entire McMaster community. You are right, our old name limited our audience only to undergraduates.
