McMaster has recently introduced a third year entry level program referred to as "Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization" (BDC).It is a limited enrolment program offered by the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences (administered through the Faculty of Health Sciences) with key contributions from the School of Business. The training program will encompass level III and IV of undergraduate studies as well as a 12-month course-based Master’s program. The latter will include a 4-month internship in the health sciences sector. BDC will afford a unique educational experience for students seeking first-rate training in the biomedical sciences with an emphasis on drug discovery and development. Students will graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences undergraduate degree and a Masters of Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization degree. The goal of the program is to prepare graduates who will be ready for a wide range of careers in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors.
