Newbie trying to get in, login, begin!
HELLO,
My name is Taneisha and like many 1st year undergraduates I'm having a hard time logging into my undergraduate e-mail. What can we do?! Are we doing something wrong it continues to say that we have " incorrrect password or log in". Though we do not, what do we do??

Go into MUGSI and then "Activate you MacID"
Its likely that you havent done this yet.
And after doing that, wait a day (or two if you're really patient) and try again.
I'm actually pretty sure the effect is (almost) immediate, but I can't confirm.

are you putting your username as [email protected]? because it should only be the "_________", without the @mcmaster.ca

lawl, thank you Kevin. What if you already have though? With my Mac ID I/ we can sign into everything, make and review our course selection, we just can not access our undergraduate e-mail account

@ bernard
Yeaaha I asssure you we're not... I don't believe we have that
option it just asks for username and password. I believe it has to be something with the system. At Summer orientation multiple students expressed being denied access. I am just not sure how long to wait or whatelse to do.

first step: accept payment agreement
second step: log on to MUGSI, then click "My MUGSI" , then click on Quick Links, then "Enable your MAC ID Services".
this should help activating your email.

Yes, activate your Mac ID. I couldn't get into my mcmaster email account till HALF WAY THROUGH THE YEAR because I forgot to.
To be fair on myself a bit, I'd deferred my admission and couldn't remember whether I'd done it last year or not. I thought I had, but..

Activate is on the outside of MUGSI while Enable is on the inside of MUGSI.

It didn't work because I had already activated my Mac ID I had not yet enabled it. Enabling was the step I had missed. Sorry for the confusion, but thanks again for your help, it was greatly appreciated.
