No ID Student Card?
Hey. so like many other first year students i move in this weekend. However, unlike many other first year students i dont have my id card yet?

I tried calling and emailing the registrar but the line was disconnected and they havent emailed me back? im thinking its because of the strike?

Anyways, I'm wondering what i should do? I need the card to move into rez, get my osap and many other important things in the first couple days? They arent even open on weekends so i cant go in on saturday when i get there?

Please Help!

Are you from Ontario?

non-Ontario students are expected to pick their cards up on the Monday (pending a strike)

There is no strike right now, they are probably on lunch break.

Try emailing them at [email protected]
I'm not sure if that is the exact one but that's where I wrote.
Also log onto MUGSI and make sure your mailing address "Address Depot" under Non-Academics is right for all future mail to receive you.
You could try dropping by the office and seeing if they have it.
I had heard that if mail cannot be delivered it is sent back to Mac.

Try calling them tomorrow, they are busy but if you try early in the morning when they open chances of getting through are higher.

You'll need it for OSAP. For move-in day you can use any government issued ID instead. (Also don't forget a passport-sized photo).

You'll need one of those documents you stated but IN ADDITION you need a separate photo so they can keep it on record. In case you lose your keys they will be able to confirm it's you.

I havnt filled out my new student form yet, can i just bring it with me filled out with a picture and give it to them? Or will it be too late or something like that? Will there be anything I cant do if I do that other than buy food?

Yeah, you might as well bring your form with you. At this point in time it would be faster than mailing it in.

You won't be able to buy food, but they'll probably give you a temporary "card" (it's just a piece of paper) if they don't give you your actual card on the day you give your form in.
