Has anyone tried to apply to get their diplomas before their convocation?
What was the application process like? When's the earliest date you can get it? How long was the process? How hard was it for them to accept your reasoning/application for the request?

I tried to call & email the department but I haven't gotten a reply yet so anything would be helpful

It says somewhere on the website that you can only get it early under extenuating circumstances (e.g. you have secured a job abroad and in order for you to get your visa they want to see that you have your diploma). The circumstances where they will allow this are very limited. More detail is available on the McMaster website - I'm too lazy to go find it right now but I was reading about it last year.

I believe you have to wait until the convocation ceremony.

Even know I didn't attend mine and chose to pick it up from the office, I remember my friend telling me she saw my name there. So maybe they keep it on hand just incase you decide to show up?
