Hey guys
I just received the most random email from McMaster.
It's in french one and says something about "Attention:l'utilisate ur Envoyer Mcmaster.ca" and a virus and resetting some stuff.
Should I be particularly concerned or what?
Most peculiar I think.
Any thoughts?

Hm...I didn't get any email like that. If Mac sent you a virus, you should contact UTS and tell them what happened :S

Hey it's strange I received that mail too and i found it really odd because it was in french, and luckily it's in my junk mail so i just deleted the mail.

There's another email going around about a change in security or something, when you click the link it brings you to the email log-in page and tells you to log in again...but it isn't really a Mac URL at all....another email scam thing to watch out for.

If you check the MIME headers of the email, you'll discover that it most likely was NOT sent from McMaster's email servers.

Such emails are called "phishing" emails, where the email appears to originate from an official source so that you enter sensitive information about yourself, or trust the email so that you download the virus.
