I think its cause you're in bio, its closed for me right now.
I'd need a non-bio student to drop, thanks though

most of the time you just pick the course even if there are labs/tutorials associated with it
but i remember we had to pick labs for ecology and microbiology the night solar opened
so just have tutorials/labs sections picked beforehand just in case so you don't have to scramble at the last minute seeing which labs/tutorials don't conflict with your schedule

is this true? I thought we just pick our courses and not tutorials/labs
I remember last year we got to choose tutorials/labs after our timetable was released.
Can anyone confirm this because all i did was pick my courses I didnt choose my tutorials/labs yet and was gonna do it after timetable was released.

Yep, exactly. After SOLAR generates a timetable for you, only then can you go in and change around cores, labs, tutorials etc. I believe that will sometime mid-July.

so.... just to clarify cus it seems ppl are both ways about this... but this week, all we do is

1. if ur going into 2nd year pick your major
2. pick the courses you want ( so u dont decide the cores, labs, and tutorials yet)

sorry i know this sounds redundant but just want to confirm

yeah for most courses you don't have to pick tut/labs on solar night
but just schedule the labs/tuts into your mock timetable just in case they do ask for it
when i was picking second year courses (last year) i didn't schedule in labs/tuts either, but for ecology we definitely had to register in one, so i just randomly picked L01 - it ended up conflicting w timetable later

so just in case know at least 1 lab section that doesn't conflict with your core classes in case they do ask for it

Chevalier, ~*Sara*~ all say thanks to BlueWave for this post.

Bio 2A03 or 2B03 (second semester), anyone? Don't have much of use to trade but I'd appreciate a heads up if you're dropping them!

Bio 2F03, 2A03, 2B03, 2C03, 2D03 2EE3 are all open right now.
If I try adding ecology to my course list it doesn't ask me to select a lab.
But for microbio it does prompt to select a lab.

So for ecology (Bio 2F03), it does not seem like you have to worry about choosing your lab section now. (Although we did last year, i guess it varies from year to year?)

Also just checked the other bios (2A03, 2B03, 2C03 2D03) and it does not prompt me to select a lab or tutorial selection.

Recap:
So among the second year bios (ABCDEF) microbio is the only one that asks you to pick a lab right away.
All the lab sections for microbio are available except for Lab 5, (in case you wanted to know/and plan your timetable accordingly).

cjdzl says thanks to BlueWave for this post.
