How often does the average club at mac meet up? Have events? How many clubs is it realistic to balance at one time? There are so many that look good!

It depends on the club really. Some meet monthly, others have weekly or biweekly meetings. It's entirely possible to join 2-3 clubs because a lot of them operate on a drop-in basis (you can just come to whatever meetings you want). Unless you intend to become an active member, for example, becoming an executive on a club, it shouldn't be too hard to balance being in multiple clubs.

Most clubs meet once a week once they get going, but they are more likely to meet less frequently than more frequently. Events usually happen about once or twice a month for larger or more active clubs, while smaller or newer clubs may not have events outside of their regular meeting (but this isn't always a bad thing!).

Show up for as many clubs as you want for the first month of school or throughout the year. The clubs I have been part of typically expect most of the new people that sign up to stop showing up after the first little while and that's ok. I was probably part of about 6 for the first month I started and wasn't really interested in them and stopped going, but found some good ones in 3rd year and now I am regularly part of 2. One is a drop-in and you can stay for as long as you want, or not show up at all!
