Open source collaborative project to improve SOLAR
Looking for software engineers experienced or capable of helping with an open source project to improve SOLAR. A basic understanding of AJAX, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL are ideal. PM me if you have the time and motivation.

Don't even bother. There is no way in hell you're going to be able to get through the university's red tape.

Yeah, SOLAR is set to be phased out within the next year, so any attempt to re-vamp it is pointless (since they've already got a new system mostly developed).

In addition, the red tape involved is insane, as Ownaginatios pointed out. SOLAR deals with students' personal information, and is tied with MUGSI, which holds even more personal information.
