Order of Courses on SOLAR
Just wondering, is there any particular order that I should enter my courses into SOLAR? I just want to get into all of them.

Semester1:
BIOLOGY 1A03
CHEM 1A03
MATH 1A03
ECON 1B03
PSYCH 1X03

Semester2:
BIOLOGY 1M03
CHEM 1AA3
PSYCH 1XX3
ECON 1BB3
PHYS 1B03

That is the arrangement I would like to have.

If you really want to try, you can try for the electives first, since you can force a seat in the required courses. Nab your electives, then apply the changes then try to log back on to fill up your course load.

It's going to be a fight no matter what. Have a list of at least four backup electives for each one - I had a list of ten and got numbers 7 and 8 this year.

Many people like to enter their electives first, and then save all changes, and then do the required courses, because if required courses fill up then you just email the dept and get them to give you a spot--you're guaranteed a seat in a required course. For electives, it's first come, first serve.

You need math 1A03, psych 1X03 and chem 1A03 first term.
You need psych 1XX3 second term and chem 1AA3 second term.
Those are guaranteed to be where you want them.

You could possibly end up with both bios in one term, or the bios in different terms but opposite to the way you want them. Same thing with both econs--it depends if a lot of people want to take them in a specific term and whether or not there are any spots left in the term you want. Physics can also be in either term...you shouldn't run into a problem getting into the courses, it's just whether or not they'll be the term you want.

When I enter Science 1A00 and HTH SCI 1BS0, will it ask me what term I want them in? I realize they are not actually full courses I just want to be prepared in case it asks.
