Hi ,

Does anyone know when we will get our OSAP money transferred into our bank account?

If you selected to not have OSAP pay the school on your behalf, you should get it by the time the study period begins.. I can't find a date anywhere, but I would assume it should be between 1st and 7th....

OSAP has changed this year, so I don't expect anybody except an employee that works at the OSAP office.

You could call the OSAP office at McMaster (SFAS) if you really must know

Not always. If you selected dont pay the university then it goes into your account if you provided them with bank info.

But I dont remember when that happens :( Not right away I dont think. Late Sept early Oct?

On the OSAP website, if you go to "check status" then "funding summary", it tells you exactly how much money you'll get at certain dates - it doesn't all get released at once; 60% of it gets released in Sept and the other 40% in January.

They will pay your tuition and then what ever is left over goes into your account, at least that's what happened for me last year.

I still have to send my signed papers in via mail. Does anyone know if I can just drop them off somewhere instead?

Your parents declarations go to the financial aid office...you can just take the MSFAA form to the post office in the Titles bookstore and they will send it for free, you just have to have your student card with you and I think another piece(s) of ID.

Your signature/declaration papers for tax info data release can be dropped off in the box outside of the OSAP office in Gilmore Hall (heading towards the archway near the bookstore, its up the stairs on the right, straight ahead through the 2 sets of double doors).

MSFAA can be given into any designated Canada Post outlet as the previous poster alluded to.
