osap and bank account..
I need someone to clarify something for me.. Last year I was on res and when I went to pick up my osap i did it so all the money goes directly to the school.. This year however I'm living off campus and need the money to be transferred into my bank account. On my payment agreement it says that on sept 1st I'm going to have to pay $3960 to the school, and the rest 3000 something will be paid with the other 40% in January. Since I'm getting about 7000 on my first pick-up, how do I give $3960 to the school, is that why they need a cheque from you? And is the rest of the money just put in my bank account?

That's correct. They actually don't need the cheque but just the information on the cheque. The numbers at the bottom tells them what account to deposit the money in.
