From MUGSI:
Quote:
Loan and grant funding for new or increased entitlements will be available from the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships at McMaster University during your study period. Your student loan and grant funding is time sensitive. Funds are not automatically deposited to your bank or student account. You must pick up your loan/grant certificates and grant cheques in person during the study period for which the OSAP was issued.
OSAP is generally released as follows:
Students registered in both the fall and winter terms 60% in September, 40% in January (including Graduate,School of Medicine and MBA students whose programs of study run 8 months or longer)
Students registered in the fall term only 60% in September, 40% midway through term 1 Students registered in the winter term only 60% in January, 40% midway through term 2 **
See http://sfas.mcmaster.ca for further details re: OSAP release dates and locations.
You must pick up your first instalment (approximately 60%) and complete a Confirmation of Enrolment form in order for the remaining funding to be issued. Confirmation of Enrolment forms are completed at the start of your study period to confirm your full-time registration and keep your existing loans in good standing. Your Confirmation of Enrolment has processed on this OSAP file. If you have previous OSAP loans, but do not have an OSAP entitlement this year or will not be picking up OSAP within 6 months of your last full-time study period end date, be sure to either sign your Confirmation of Enrolment form (available from SFAS) or submit a Continuation of Interest-Free Status Form (available at http://sfas.mcmaster.ca "Download Central") to keep your existing loans in good standing and out of repayment!

In a nutshell, you picked up 60% in September, and you'll be picking up the other 40% in January.
On January 4th, go to the designated OSAP pick up location which believe is room 314 in MUSC. Bring proof of SIN, any kind of photo ID (such as drivers license, health card, etc), student card as well as a void cheque or something with your banking information.
Pick up continues from January 4th through to January 15th.

Hahaaa I went to school this morning at 8:15, and I got through at 9 AM - because they started early. Pays off to wake up early I must say.
