OSAP Pickup Question
Hi guys. Quick question here.

The only time I can go to pick up my OSAP is September 1st and I saw somewhere that was the last day, so would I have to pay with interest or any extra cost? Also, while I am there I will be able to pay with my scholarships as well right? (entrance , queen elizebeth II) since it already shows up on my PA.

No interest as long as you pay the balance forward stated on your Payment Agreement.

To use your scholarships you have to check the box in your payment agreement.

Hopefully you did all that and already paid because the deadline is coming up soon.

No, I did not pay yet. I did select that scholarships on the Payment agreement and method of payment along time ago (installment) . I am planning on going on September 1st and pick up my OSAP and pay the 1st semester part with osap and scholarships. Is it going to work out?

You can pick up OSAP anytime, it already got deducted from your tuition. So all you have to pay McMaster is the balance forward.

Chances are your payment won't be received by McMaster by September 1st so you'll be charged the late fee. (35$). But you can try and visit the registrar's office with a cheque and ask if you'll be charged the late fee.

This is not related to OSAP but about the Sep 1 deadline for frees. I'm going to pay by Interac tommorrow, does anyone know how long it will take to show up the updated balance on my Payment Agreement.

If I pay tommorrow and it shows up lets say Wednesday even though my bank has processed the transacation before Sep 1, am I still fined $35?

Yes you are still fined the late fee. It's when McMaster receives the money.

As for Interac, it's supposed to be instantaneous but it's a new service so I don't really know.

So you don't know how long it takes McMaster to recieve the money if you do it via Interac Online? Thanks for the info.

When does interest accumulate on any unpaid tuition fees?

On the McMaster website it says the following: Click the new "Pay Now" button on your McMaster online Payment Agreement, MUSGI or Account Statement and have your payments show on your Account Statement instantly!!

So, according to the payment agreement i have to pay 0 dollars forward (since my scholarships and osap cover it already) does that mean that I do not have to come there at all and it is already been done for me? If that's true, sweet. If I am wrong, correct me please.

Interest accumulates at the end of each month, 1.2%

So if it shows up on my payment agreement as balance forward $0.00 by Sep 1, I won't have to pay the $35 fee right?<br>

You actually have to look at your student account.

Like I said, to avoid the late fee you have to pay your balance forward, stated in your payment agreement, by September 1st.

You don't pay with OSAP or your scholarship since you said you checked them in your payment agreement. This means they have already been deducted from your tuition.
