I was trying to apply for my work-study form but it keeps saying I didn't apply for OSAP. I only applied a few days ago...is that way its not showing up? Also, do you only need to apply for OSAP or do you need to actually receive money? I pay for my own school but I live with my parents so my estimate was 0. Any help will be appreciated!

That's probably the reason. Since you only applied a few days ago, your papers hasn't been process yet so they will think that you haven't applied to OSAP when you were trying to sign up for WorkStudy. You just need to apply for OSAP to sign up for WorkStudy. You should be able to receive the loan in your bank account so,e time in September.

So if you applied to osap, you don't need to fill out a separate application for workstudy?

There is no form you have to fill up. If you have applied for OSAP and then applying for a WorkStudy, then your application will automatically be approved.

No, that's not correct. There IS a separate application for WorkStudy, and you just need to have applied to OSAP to be eligible. You don't need to have received OSAP funding to be eligible, as long as you applied. If you google "McMaster Work Study" you'll find all of the information you need. Note that being "eligible" is not the same as being automatically approved.

If the online application is saying you aren't eligible because you didn't apply to OSAP, then it's just because your application hasn't been processed yet. Expect it to take weeks. The deadline is usually sometime in July to have it processed in time for September.
