				Parking Rates

I'm trying to figure out the Daily Flat Rate for Parking in Zone I, but I'm not sure which section it falls under in the Parking Rates website ( http://parking.mcmaster.ca/rates08-09.htm)
Would anyone happen to know this rate? Where's the cheapest place to park on campus, besides the lots M,N,O,P.

Here's the map: http://parking.mcmaster.ca/maplot3.pdf

Zone 1 is Lot G according to the map... that means it would be 81$.

You should also note that these rates are for 08-09, new rates will probably come out later for 09-10. As for the cheapest place to park, according to the website it is M, N, O, P.

Sorry, I meant Lot I instead of Zone I. And I was asking for the Daily Rate, not Monthly. And I specifically said that I wasn't looking to park at Lots M, N, O, P.

I would consider Lot I to be central campus. It has the came price as other central campus lots, such as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Q. So it would be 5$ per hour or part with a maximum of 20$ for a day.

All the other lots are more expensive than M, N, O, P. So you'll have to find somewhere off campus to park. Perhaps a friend's house nearby?

On this note, is it possible for a first-year student bringing their vehicle to park on one of the closer lots?

On the note of what Anamaria said, you can ONLY park in Lot M if you wish to park on a monthly basis. Undergraduate Parking Applications are automatically assigned a spot in Lot M and Lot M only. Monthly spots for Graduate students are in Lots N, O, and P. As for all the other lots, you'll only get a monthly pass if you can afford it and if you're McMaster staff (if you're lucky).

If you're commuting and wish to avoid all of these fees may I make a suggestion:

1. Park in the University Plaza where the Metro/Shoppers/East Side's is in Dundas

2. Use your FREE (technically, it's actually included in your student fees) HSR pass to take the bus to University.

It's just like parking in Lot M and taking the shuttle bus up.

EDIT: I forgot about the Underground Stadium Parking which is much more convenient but twice the cost. Undergrads are also allowed to get a monthly pass there.
