If you didn't need it that much, I won't bother getting it since I rarely use my textbooks.
Also what's Minitab? Do I have to buy that as well?

I rarely use textbooks also, but I bought it for the practice problems. I didn't have a good prof, so having the book was helpful.

Minitab is a computer program used for the assignments. You don't need to buy it; you can use the computer labs in BSB during lab time and whenever they're open. Minitab doesn't work on Macs (unless they've come out with a version very recently that I'm not aware of), so if you have a Mac then don't bother.

You don't need the textbook, just make sure to buy the courseware though. You will need it for the labs and it has practice tests which are very similar to the actual midterms. Also, the notes that Dr.Childs provided was enough to do well.
