Philosophy 3G03

Dr. Hitchcock taught the ethics course this year. I've had him as a professor before so I was used to his style of teaching. I will admit a lot has changed in his teaching style since he has taught Ancient Greek. He uses website and power point and technology as a whole. Kudos to him!

This course focused on ethics from Kant, Mill and Gert's perspective. Who's Gert? Good question. I still don't know why we learned about Gert, however, he was there.

The course material was easy to grasp with the exception of Kant. The assignments were abundant which made the course a bit more difficult. Each week a reflection and summary based on the readings were to be submitted. If you didn't understand the content you would learn it in lecture the following week. While it is good that these assignments kept us on top of our readings, it was hard to keep up with that and the essay we were assigned. There were no tests in this course.

Overall, it was a good course, just a lot of constant work.
