Thtr & Flm 3G03

Actually a REALLY REALLY awesome course! I ended up taking it cause I had late course selection and all the 2nd year courses I wanted were full.

You mostly talk about the three steps to creating a show focused on a community issue - getting information, choosing the type of play, and choosing the acting style. (if i remember correctly)

Dr Graham taught it when I did it - amazing.

There were only about 20-25 people in the class - great size.

There was a group project to kind of make your own play, and tons of workshop-type exercises on learning how to use space, act, etc.

SUPER FUN! DO IT!

Hey,
I was wondering, was the course relatively easy? I took Theatre and Film 1A03 with dr. graham, but found the assignments a bit hard (i didn't do all that great in the course). Thanks for the info

Not *easy*, and if you found her assignments hard in that class and did not do well, I would not suggest it. You talk about some abstract concepts, and look at making scenes, a mini show, doing lots of acting workshops, and a bunch of papers.
